No Mad Shocked rendeer bom affraid

  • The game should not have a closed class system (one that just gives you one path and fighting style to go by).
  • It should instead be like a tree with many branches. The trunk is your character, while each branch is something you have mastered. So each character is defined by not what they picked when they started, but by their end result.
  • There shouldn't be any direct level, maybe just lv's when in comes to stats. Instead it should be strictly the rank.
  • The back-story should be different than Naruto's, no Great Ninja Wars or Tailed Beasts. What would be cooler would something more original, and has more references to the Japanese culture.
  • It would be awesome if there were some distinct races (not clans). Like Kisame's shark race, or some demon race.
  • Cartoonish style FTW


The first two refer to NR's class system, where you were supposed to pick Ninjutsu, Genjutsu, or Taijutsu. It wouldn't work out if it was released, everybody would be Ninjutsu and there wouldn't be any Genjutsu.

I think it would be cooler if you just start off as a freelancer, with low stats. Then you determine what you want to be through stat points and quests. Then you can get a job! It wouldn't be a class, since you can drop out whenever. Some jobs would be Bodyguard, or Bounty Hunter. In-which you would receive titles and items that go with that job. And you would eventually get some master weapon.

Maybe there could even be some apprentice system, like if you want to be a sage you could train under some Master Sage Guy. He will give you a bunch of quests, you fulfill them and then get the title.

Not bad ideas.
As for the class system, we have it sussed lol.
Its not constricting, and bound to one path. When you begin the game you have a selection of either being in a clan or instead recieving a trait. the benefit to being in a clan is that you will get a few extra jutsus (not many) that only that clan can obtain. People who choose to get a trait, will get a buff instead. Like say they will get 20% more HP or something else, which may be beneficial to some people. The branch system your talking about would exist inside whatever jutsus you choose. Anyone can go for non-clan/trait jutsus that will have smaller branches inside them. You may choose to go for the katon branch and later as a chuunin/jounin pick up 1 or 2 more branches. There will be taijutsu, genjutsu and possible medical branches (might have meds as a clan) and other random branches. So the people who choose trait will get stuck into these jutsus quicker, and may use their buffs to their advantage with some of the jutsus. Take for example, You could be a varietest. You may get an extra health trait, pick out the taijutsu branch and the rock branch. This may give you extra defence to help with your taijutsu ect, on top of that you could put stats on (we havent decided if we should have fixed stats or not) a chakra stat to balance your tai with ninjutsu.

i agree with ideas except we dont want another mmorpg with a bad story and i really dont agree with goping with a culture based story we need something creative Very Happy

thats really good I thought we would have to get stuck with the lame only one branch thing but it seems I was lucky

They nice! But maybe not races... Maybe your stats or rank lets you learn a passive jutsu that turns you into something cool.. But only for the elite, so that the appearence itself will just scream "unique".

Yeah your right, it would be cool to have something like an Urban/modern day or Steampunk environment elephant

Though steampunk, or anything else futuristic may take too much time (sooo many details).
