Post  Zaoshi on Sun Nov 07, 2010 4:57 pm

EVE Website quote:
EVE Online is host to the largest virtual universe in the world, and is the fastest-growing Massively Multi-Player Online Game (MMPOG) of the genre. Set tens of thousands of years in the future, EVE is a breathtaking journey to the stars, to an immersive experience filled with adventure, riches, danger, and glory.

  • Massively multiplayer
  • Epic 5,000 solar system persistent single universe
  • Dynamic player controlled economy
  • Exclusive offline skill advancement
  • Unmatched versatility in game play
  • Free expansions and game enhancements included with subscription

Wikipedia quote:
Eve Online (officially capitalized EVE Online) is a video game by CCP Games. It is a player-driven persistent-world massively multiplayer online role-playing game (MMORPG) set in a science fiction space setting. Players pilot customizable ships through a universe comprising over 7,500 star systems. Most star systems are connected to one or more other star systems by means of stargates. The star systems can contain several phenomena including, but not limited to: moons, planets, stations, wormholes, asteroid belts and complexes.

Players of Eve Online are able to participate in a number of in-game professions and activities, including mining, piracy, manufacturing, trading, exploration and combat (both player versus environment and player versus player). The range of activities available to the player is facilitated by a character advancement system based upon training skills in real time, even while not logged into the game.

Blender controls fail, I can't understand how to use them.

I imported scene but I can't find how to set textures, delete useless stuff, etc.

Any game has this mess. You'll find particles (random quads in space), skybox (can be box, random quad, sphere, etc) each interface element might appear as quad. You have to remove all this before you reach what you need.

To much work but ill give it a try and see if i can do anything. -_- I'll just stick with makehuman since its faster to make a human model and texture it. I tried to but the model is double coated with another model so there is no way for me to delete the second model thats messing it up, theres only a few parts that is double coated witch are the hair, in between the breasts and the neck go together, and apaerently the skirt maybe its because of the pants you have underneath them but i dont want to take a chance to mess it up.

So this is how admins here act huh? Nice, No respect for new members.
Yes ive played it, who are you to insinuate that I haven't?

3 Hours in and I honestly cant play it anymore. There are way more exciting games I could be playing, even in the mmo category.
Its a 3d space game and the combat is seriously point and click? No way. as soon as I noticed that I thought it was lame.

3 Hours isn't enough to fully finish tutorial, therefore you haven't tried actual game.
Outside this community I easily find people who want to play EVE, but can't because it costs money, I teach them how to play, and how to get money to pay up.
If you don't understand how to move, shoot or how things work it doesn't mean game is boring.

If you want WASD controls and Mouse Aiming go play Black Prophecy, you'll be spawn killed (I tried it). And later on you'll meet hackers who never miss you (aimbot). On other hand, EVE's point and click is unhackable.

Yeah its very very slow, I just cant stand it. Just my opinion though. I was pulled in by the amazing graphics, but the gameplay was sooo unexpected, it threw me off. I expect a joystick controlled action game for a space shooter ya know? Eve plays like world of warcraft without gravity and yet its way more complicated.
I just found it boring because yeah, i didn't get into it, imo it shouldn't take hours to finish the tutorial. Maybe it gets epic later on, but ill never know.
It honestly is one of the most boring games ive played silent

You can skip tutorial. It's your problem if you get killed 5 minutes later. EVE isn't made for mindless people like most korean MMOs are, as well as WoW and many more non-korean MMOs.

Banned player's alliance promised to revenge. They started on April 27th and destroyed 1,000+ ships within first 6 hours. Total length of event was 2-3 days with over 10,000 ships destroyed. Google "Burn Jita" for more info.

EVE Online and CCP got into finals. As you can see Blizzard, WoW, D3 aren't in the list. Therefore
EVE Online, CCP > WoW, D3, Blizzard
